Port Phillip Winery

Melbourne, Australia

Year: 2009
Architect: Wood Marsh

Port Phillip Estate Winery celebrates the rural landscape and the sea. Its bold architecture by Wood Marsh stands out for its abstract, sculptural shapes, blending nicely into the surrounding rolling hills and vineyards. The materials used for the interiors of the restaurant and winery enhance the wine’s colors. This architectural project was particularly enticing for Potocco, both for its aesthetic value and its focus on sustainability, as demonstrated by various innovative systems, including the rainwater-harvesting system, which makes the estate self-sufficient. Potocco chairs from the Vela collection by Hannes Wettstein have been chosen for the outdoor spaces thanks to their minimalist design, enveloping shape, and hand-woven nautical rope or PVC seats.
