Ritz Carlton
Chicago, USA
Year: 2019
Architect: BAMO
The prestigious Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has entrusted US design firm BAMO with renovating its hotel in Chicago’s Gold Coast district, a crossroads between art, architecture, and industrial innovation. The hotel is located within the landmark Water Tower Place – one of the few buildings that survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 – and reflects the city’s lively soul and dynamic energy. The luxurious rooms feature a living area where you can admire a stunning view of the Chicago skyline as it changes from day to night. The Velis chairs designed for Potocco by Mario Ferrarini are the highlight of the living area of the most elegant rooms. The sophisticated combination of the brown leather upholstery and wooden structure gives life to a welcoming chair, creating an elegant contrast with the hotel’s shiny, contemporary finishes.
